About Coquina Nail Studio

Hi, I’m Erika — the heart behind Coquina Nail Studio.

What started as Rika’s Emporium, a little handmade haven filled with press-on nails, 100% soy candles, and coasters, has grown into something even closer to my heart. I began making and selling the things I truly loved: custom press-on nails because I’ve always been passionate about nail art, soy candles scented only with natural oils (artificial fragrances and paraffin have always triggered my migraines), and engraved coasters that my mom and I create together — one of our favorite shared hobbies.

Through Rika’s Emporium I got to share that love with others, build a community of customers who felt the care in every set and every candle, and slowly save toward the dream I’d carried for years: becoming a licensed nail specialist. With the unwavering support of my amazing husband, I’m now in school pursuing that certification. Soon Coquina Nail Studio will open its doors so I can offer professional nail services alongside the press-ons and handmade pieces that started it all.

When you come in for an appointment, you’ll still be able to browse and purchase the soy candles and coasters I make — the same ones that have always been part of this journey. They’re not going anywhere; they’ll just have a permanent home inside the studio.

This next chapter is about taking the passion that began at my kitchen table and turning it into a full studio experience — still rooted in quality, intention, and the same love of creating beautiful, thoughtful things.
